Simulation of particle physics processes with the tool GEANT

Popis: 

Using the GEANT4 software package for modelling the passage and interactions of particles with matter, the goal of the thesis is to simulate, visualize and quantify several basic aspects of passage of particles through matter, like particle energy loss or interaction length, for the detection of muons in a block of a scintillator, simulation of the MX-10 particle camera for cosmic muons or radioactive sources, demonstration of principles and resolution of a segmented or homogeneous calorimeter and their response to hadrons, or modelling cosmic ray showers in atmosphere or neutrino passage through the Earth or Sun.
